ANNAPOLIS, Md. (CBSDC) - Maryland Governor Martin O?Malley pushed out his proposed gambling bill Tuesday evening just days after announcing a second special session devoted to the issue.

The expanded gambling bill outlines the target for a new casino and which games will be inside of it, but it raises some interesting concerns likely to be debated in the special session set to begin Thursday.

In his gambling bill, Gov. O?Malley specified that there is potential for a new casino in Prince George?s County, table games would be allowed, and the casinos would earn a larger portion of the revenue generated by gambling.

The looming question remains, where in Prince George?s County will the new casino be designated to be built? Gov. O?Malley said Rosecroft Raceway is still in the running, but the National Harbor seems to be the popular vote for gambling fans, located just across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge from Virginia, and easily accessible from the beltway.

The new bill proposed by Gov. O?Malley says that the location for the new casino will be decided later.

The gambling expansion bill will see great difficulty in getting passed, as it must go through three different levels of scrutiny before becoming a law. The three levels include the Maryland Senate, expected to pass the bill, the Maryland House of Delegates, which is predicted to be a difficult victory for the bill, and a majority approval from Prince George?s County residents themselves.
