Ouya confirms game console will launch with Jelly Bean

The Android-powered Ouya game console is still on schedule according to the developers' latest update, and they've confirmed that it will launch with Jelly Bean. It wouldn't be surprising to see Android 4.2 folded in before the planned launch early next year, even though that version was just unveiled a few days ago. Apparently the Ouya folks have been busy talking with developers over the last few months, which is key considering porting high-resolution games to the big screen and optimizing controls for Ouya's hardware will be key to its initial success.

To that end, they've outlined a few tips for developers in advance of the December launch of the Ouya SDK. For example, the gamepad will have a single-finger touchpad and a button for system-wide access to shutting down or quitting a game, but none of the familiar buttons like back or menu. Apps should be ready to run at 720p, 1080p, and 1080i resolutions. Notifications aren't employed, and all games are effectively free (though laden with ads and in-app purchases as the game creators see fit). Finally, Ouya reminds app-makers that the system is built for Tegra, and that anyone itching to get their game optimized should test with an Nvidia-powered Android tablet.

As for the hardware, they've got the circuit boards printed, and are busy optimizing software and preparing dev kits for those that got in early.

Mars like Hawaii? NASA rover's first soil studies help fingerprint Martian minerals

ScienceDaily (Oct. 30, 2012) ? NASA's Mars rover Curiosity has completed initial experiments showing the mineralogy of Martian soil is similar to weathered basaltic soils of volcanic origin in Hawaii.

The minerals were identified in the first sample of Martian soil ingested recently by the rover. Curiosity used its Chemistry and Mineralogy instrument (CheMin) to obtain the results, which are filling gaps and adding confidence to earlier estimates of the mineralogical makeup of the dust and fine soil widespread on the Red Planet.

"We had many previous inferences and discussions about the mineralogy of Martian soil," said David Blake of NASA Ames Research Center in Moffett Field, Calif., who is the principal investigator for CheMin. "Our quantitative results provide refined and in some cases new identifications of the minerals in this first X-ray diffraction analysis on Mars."

The identification of minerals in rocks and soil is crucial for the mission's goal to assess past environmental conditions. Each mineral records the conditions under which it formed. The chemical composition of a rock provides only ambiguous mineralogical information, as in the textbook example of the minerals diamond and graphite, which have the same chemical composition, but strikingly different structures and properties.

CheMin uses X-ray diffraction, the standard practice for geologists on Earth using much larger laboratory instruments. This method provides more accurate identifications of minerals than any method previously used on Mars. X-ray diffraction reads minerals' internal structure by recording how their crystals distinctively interact with X-rays. Innovations from Ames led to an X-ray diffraction instrument compact enough to fit inside the rover.

These NASA technological advances have resulted in other applications on Earth, including compact and portable X-ray diffraction equipment for oil and gas exploration, analysis of archaeological objects and screening of counterfeit pharmaceuticals, among other uses.

"Our team is elated with these first results from our instrument," said Blake. "They heighten our anticipation for future CheMin analyses in the months and miles ahead for Curiosity."

The specific sample for CheMin's first analysis was soil Curiosity scooped up at a patch of dust and sand that the team named Rocknest. The sample was processed through a sieve to exclude particles larger than 0.006 inch (150 micrometers), roughly the width of a human hair. The sample has at least two components: dust distributed globally in dust storms and fine sand originating more locally. Unlike conglomerate rocks Curiosity investigated a few weeks ago, which are several billion years old and indicative of flowing water, the soil material CheMin has analyzed is more representative of modern processes on Mars.

"Much of Mars is covered with dust, and we had an incomplete understanding of its mineralogy," said David Bish, CheMin co-investigator with Indiana University in Bloomington. "We now know it is mineralogically similar to basaltic material, with significant amounts of feldspar, pyroxene and olivine, which was not unexpected. Roughly half the soil is non-crystalline material, such as volcanic glass or products from weathering of the glass. "

Bish said, "So far, the materials Curiosity has analyzed are consistent with our initial ideas of the deposits in Gale Crater recording a transition through time from a wet to dry environment. The ancient rocks, such as the conglomerates, suggest flowing water, while the minerals in the younger soil are consistent with limited interaction with water."

During the two-year prime mission of the Mars Science Laboratory Project, researchers are using Curiosity's 10 instruments to investigate whether areas in Gale Crater ever offered environmental conditions favorable for microbial life.

NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a division of Caltech in Pasadena, manages the project for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Washington, and built Curiosity and CheMin.

Each one of us has some unique purpose in life, and God has given us three tools to use to fulfill that destiny ? a soul, a mind, and a body. Each one of these entities can only be as healthy as its nourishment. If you do not nourish your soul with meditation, your mind with education and your body with nutrition, you will not be able to continue progressing through this awesome journey of growth and development that we call Life. Avoid meditation and your soul will never be at peace. Avoid reading and learning and opportunities in school or at work will pass you by. Finally, avoid eating healthy foods and your body will become full of disease.

As the above verse is more figurative than literal, it does hold true for all investments in yourself. You must invest time into your soul and mind, and yes ? money into eating healthy, nourishing foods.

We must begin to take grocery shopping seriously and choose products that will be better for us in the long term over products that are impulsive purchases. And to be honest, grocery stores make these choices very easy! Conveniently, they put all of the healthy fruits and vegetables together, fish is in another section, while your meats are in another, and aisle 12 is concentrated with cookies, chips and soda. It?s like going to a car lot where all of the high-class new cars are in the showroom, and the used rusty cars are piled together in the back of the lot. We all deserve, and should choose to stay in the showroom.

The argument that I hear when I have made this suggestion to others is that ?healthy food is too expensive.? Well, let?s find the truth:

Contrary to popular belief, it can actually cost more to eat badly. In fact, a new government report finds that nutritious foods ? such as grains, vegetables, fruit and dairy ? typically cost less than items high in saturated fat and added sugars. ? USA Today

In addition, healthier foods cause you to feel full quicker, so you eat less food. And?you will save money in the long run because unlike the person who chooses unhealthy foods, you will not have to put money towards doctor?s visits and medications for high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and other chronic diseases. According to Consumer Reports, 46 percent of Americans take on average 4.1 prescription medications. As far as costs, this averages out to be $723 per year (US 2007 Census). Being sick can also cause you to miss work and lose money that way.

How to Change

Change begins in the grocery store. What you don?t have in your house, you simply won?t eat! Here are a few things you can do to save money on healthier foods:

Buy frozen fruits and vegetables. Frozen fruits and vegetables are cheap and don?t spoil. This is the most simple and effective change you can make in your shopping habits.
Buy your fresh fruits and fish before you buy any other foods. Make it a habit to allow your healthy food options take the first portion of your budget.
Choose fresh foods that are in season ? they will be cheaper.
Only buy whole wheat grains, including pastas, rice and breads. These foods fill you up quick, so you will eat less, which will also help you lose weight.
Don?t buy soda? Ever.
Look up recipes and plan your meals and shopping list ahead of time. Site like DrGourmet.com, CookingLight.com, and MayoClinic.com can help you plan.

Be willing to make some changes in your lifestyle. It may be challenging at first, but soon enough you will ask yourself ?how did I ever eat that!?

Hurricane Sandy grounds thousands of flights

NEW YORK (AP) ? Hurricane Sandy grounded thousands of flights in the U.S. northeast Monday and upended travel plans across the globe, stranding passengers from Hong Kong to Europe. The massive storm threatens to bring a near halt to air travel for at least two days in a key region for both domestic and international flights.

Major carriers such as American Airlines, United and Delta cancelled all flights into and out of three area airports in New York, the nation's busiest airspace. According to the flight-tracking service FlightAware, nearly 10,000 flights had been canceled for Monday and Tuesday, almost all related to the storm.

Delays rippled across the U.S., affecting travelers in cities such as San Francisco to Chicago. Disruptions spread to Europe and Asia, where airlines canceled or delayed flights to New York and Washington from cities that are major travel hubs including London, Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

About one-quarter of all U.S. flights travel in or out of New York airports each day. So cancellations here can dramatically impact travel in other cities.

Businessman Alan Shrem was trying to return home to Boca Raton, Fla. His Monday morning Cathay Pacific flight from Hong Kong to New York's Kennedy airport was canceled.

He learned he could be stuck in Hong Kong for nearly a week because the next available seat was Nov. 4. He was put on a waiting list for seats that could become available earlier.

"They just say: Yeah, it's a pretty big waiting list," said Shrem, throwing up his hands. In the meantime, he'll have to fork out $400 a night to continue staying at a nearby hotel. The airline won't pay for accommodation for stranded passengers if delays are weather related.

Forecasters say Hurricane Sandy is about 310 miles (505 kilometers) southeast of New York City, and the center of the storm is expected to be near the mid-Atlantic coast on Monday night. The National Hurricane Center said early Monday that the storm has top sustained winds of 85 mph (140 kph), with higher gusts. Sandy is on track to collide with a wintry storm moving in from the west and cold air streaming down from the Arctic.

Airports in the metropolitan New York City area are open, but air carriers are not operating.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said Monday that travelers shouldn't even try to go to Kennedy, Newark Liberty, LaGuardia and Stewart airports

Air travel in the Northeast started getting complicated on Sunday, when passengers were reporting multi-hour wait times at airline call centers.

Eileen Merberg, 50, was booked on a United flight from her home in Rochester, N.Y. to New Orleans, connecting at Washington D.C.'s Dulles airport.

She received an email saying the Washington flight was canceled. United rebooked her first on a flight through Newark and, when that flight was also canceled, on another flight through Chicago.

By that point, she already had told the higher education conference that she was scheduled to speak at that she wouldn't be coming. She tried to cancel her flight over the phone. After two lengthy waits ? her cell phone battery ran out during the first one ? she just hung up.

JetBlue Airways Corp. expects its cancellations from Sunday through Tuesday to total about 1,200. The airline has hubs at Kennedy airport and Boston's Logan. Rob Maruster, chief operating officer of JetBlue, hopes to resume New York flights on Wednesday morning. But he's worried about flooding of JFK's runways since they are all basically at sea level and near bodies of water.

Delta Air Lines Inc. has canceled 2,100 flights over the three days. American Airlines has scrapped 1,000 flights, including 260 on regional affiliate American Eagle.

International travelers would have to wait to get to the East Coast of the U.S. All flights from Paris to Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington ? a total of 14 ? were canceled. Air France has canceled four into JFK and two departures.

Frankfurt airport canceled 12 flights, with German carrier Lufthansa scrapping three to the Northeast and one out of Newark. British Airways had to cancel all its flights to and from New York, Newark, Baltimore, Washington DC, Boston and Philadelphia ? a total of 20.

Eight flights out of Tokyo's Narita International Airport to New York, Newark and Washington were canceled Monday.

Hong Kong's Cathay canceled its two daily flights to New York for Monday and Tuesday and Air India said its daily flights to Newark and JFK had halted since Sunday.

South Korean flag carrier Korean Air delayed a flight scheduled to leave Incheon International Airport for JFK on Monday by 22 hours. Asiana Airlines delayed its JFK flight from Seoul by 26 hours.

'Superstorm' Hurricane Sandy Power Outages ... - AOL Real Estate

As Hurricane Sandy brings its howling winds and pelting rain ashore on the East Coast, estimates show that as many as 10 million people could lose power -- and remain in the dark for a week or more. It's the second time in as many years that a hurricane has targeted the heavily populated Northeast corridor of the U.S. -- usually much more rare than that -- and with these events seeming to become more common, it might be the perfect time to consider buying a standby generator for your home. We asked HouseLogic for some advice.

The next time a storm knocks out your power-again-you may find yourself thinking about a standby generator. Unlike a portable backup generator, which you store in the garage or shed and roll out during an emergency, a standby generator is permanently installed on a gravel bed or concrete pad next to your house. If the power goes out, an electronic switch automatically signals the unit to turn on, keeping essential household systems and appliances running even if you're miles away.

Such systems, which start at about $5,000 and go as high as $40,000, recoup 47.5 percent of their cost at resale, according to Remodeling magazine's 2010-11 "Cost vs. Value Report." Always-on protection doesn't come cheap. Here's how to decide if it's right for you.

When Permanent Standby Makes Sense

As with any insurance policy, when you buy a backup generator there's no telling when, or even if, you'll need it. Whether it's worth the investment depends on your personal situation, your tolerance for interruptions, and your budget.

If you live in an area with frequent, prolonged outages, rely on electrically powered medical equipment, or work at home and need to stay connected, a backup generator can protect you from a disruption you may not be able to afford.

If you live where hurricanes strike, a generator safeguards family members, especially children and the elderly, against the risks of sweltering heat. If you own a second home, particularly in areas where temperatures regularly dip below freezing, it can protect your property when you're not around. "A lot of weekenders buy standby generators," says dealer Chris Sauer, owner of G&G Lawn and Power in Stone Ridge, N.Y. "It's a lot more expensive to have your pipes freeze and flood your house than it is to buy a generator."

If you decide the benefits are worth the cost, here's how to proceed.

Assess Your Power Needs

Generators are sized according to wattage produced: The more watts, the bigger the unit -- and the higher the price tag.

Wattage usage varies from house to house. Your generator supplier or local electrician can do a wattage assessment, or you can ballpark it yourself with an online calculator. You can also get general guidelines from national dealers such as Colorado Standby or Electric Generators Direct.

The next step is deciding what you want your generator to power. At minimum, you can run an "emergency panel" of necessities -- say, a central air conditioning unit, the refrigerator, and a handful of lights and outlets. "A 17-kilowatt unit is the standard size for an emergency panel, because it has enough power for a central AC unit," says Will Ferrigno, owner of Assurance Power in Boca Raton, Fla. If you live in a northern climate with no AC and gas heat, your emergency panel could be as small as 7 kilowatts, enough to power some lights, the fridge and gas furnace.

At the opposite end of the spectrum is a generator with enough wattage to power your whole house. A 3,000-square-foot house with two central air conditioners, an electric range, and a whirlpool tub might require as much as 25 to 30 kilowatts.

A third, newer option is a "load-management system," a generator that can power everything in your house, just not all at once. Such a system could run that same 3,000-square-foot house with about 20 kilowatts, cutting power to non-essential circuits as necessary.

Consult the Right Professionals

Most of the time, your generator supplier will also provide setup service. That's a good option, because you know the installer will be familiar with your equipment. A less expensive way to go -- and your only option if you've purchased the generator online -- is to hire a plumber to connect the unit to its fuel source (usually propane or natural gas, though some run on diesel) and an electrician to hook it into your house's power supply. Both should be licensed and certified for the brand of equipment you're installing and familiar with local codes that govern such things as how close the generator can sit to the house, how big the fuel storage tank can be, and whether you need a permit.

Calculate Your Costs

Prices vary by brand and location (just try buying one in South Florida after a hurricane), but an emergency panel unit of 7 kilowatts starts at around $4,500 before installation, while a 17-kilowatt unit runs from about $6,000 uninstalled to $12,000 fully set up. A 25- to 30-kilowatt model costs from about $13,000 uninstalled to between $20,000 and $30,000 with installation. The national average for an installed system, according to the "Cost Vs. Value Report," is $14,760.

The type of fuel also affects cost. You may need to plumb for a gas line, for instance, or purchase and install a propane tank. Diesel units come with their own tanks, but diesel fuel is expensive and needs regular treatment so that it doesn't clog the engine over time. (Even if your generator never kicks in, it will burn about 10 gallons of fuel a year in weekly self-tests.) "Talk to your plumber and your utility company before you buy a generator to make sure you can get an affordable power source," says Brad Corgill, a technical sales rep at Colorado Standby in Colorado Springs.

Once you're set up, you won't have to worry about being stuck in the dark or freezing cold again. What's more, a standby generator can add to your home's value, which should make you feel doubly warm all over.

One of the things to consider when improving your kitchen is how you want to change the cabinetry. Because so much of a kitchen is cabinet space, kitchen cabinet remodeling is one of the most important things to do when improving your kitchen.

Your cabinet remodeling project can range in complexity from painting your existing cabinet fronts to a fully redesigned set of kitchen cabinets. One thing to contend with when remodeling your cabinets is what to do in a kitchen where you have cabinet space underneath the corner of a counter. When improving your kitchen, you may want to decide how to best utilize this space, and there are a few options.

Lazy Susan Method

One method of remodeling corner cabinets to make use of the space there is to add a lazy Susan, where circular shelves are mounted around an axle, allowing you to turn your corner cabinet's door.

The benefit to this design is that you can store things far in the back corner of your kitchen cabinets with little loss of extra space. However, due to the design of the lazy Susan, with the main support concentrated in a small area in the center, these are often not ideal for heavy things, so you must be conscious of how much load you're putting on them.

Also, including one of these in your cabinet remodeling project sometimes means making smaller openings for nearby cabinets to ensure you have adequate room for the new mechanism.

New Drawers

One interesting idea for remodeling your corner cabinets is to add drawers that pull straight out from the corner, or at a forty-five degree angle, the way most other drawers would pull out, in order to use the space in the back of the cabinet.

Your storage options are limited only by the width and depth of the drawers you have designed, and it's a way to use that corner space without much waste.

Just as with the lazy Susan, though, you may decide to alter cabinet space to the right and left of the corner to allow for wider drawers, but to balance this out, if you have another set of drawers in the kitchen, you can replace those with additional cabinet space when remodeling. Such a redistribution of how you use your space can ultimately make storage easier for you.

Do Nothing

Sometimes, the best thing to do with the corners when remodeling your cabinets is to do nothing. Some home remodeling experts will suggest leaving the area under the cabinet counters as dead space.

Even with the lazy Susan or drawers in the corner, it is often difficult to effectively utilize that corner space, so it's more cost effective to simply leave it be when remodeling your cabinets.

The dead space also leaves you an option for storing large things you rarely need to access. But whether you choose to alter the space or leave it be, you should give some thought to how you best want to alter your corner cabinets when remodeling your kitchen.

NEW YORK (AP) ? With the launch of Windows 8, people are about to discover a computing experience unlike anything they've seen before. Here's a guide to getting past some of the hurdles.

The main thing to know is that Windows 8 is designed especially for touch-screen computers, to make desktops and laptops work more like tablets. It is Microsoft's way of addressing the popularity of tablets, namely the iPad. But Windows 8 will work with mouse and keyboard shortcuts, too. It'll take some getting used to, though.

There are two versions of Windows 8, or more precisely, there's Windows 8 and there's Windows RT. They look the same, but they run on different processing chips. Windows 8 runs on standard chips from Intel and AMD and is the version you'd get if you're upgrading your home desktop or notebook PC. Windows RT is the version for light, small tablets and laptop-tablet hybrids.

Windows 8 will run programs written for older versions of Windows. Windows RT won't. It's limited to applications specifically written for it and available through Microsoft's store. (As a consolation, a version of Microsoft Office is included free on Windows RT devices).

Here are some tips on how to navigate the new Windows:

? When you start a Windows 8 machine, you're greeted with a screen that shows the time and a pretty picture. To get past it with a touch-screen device, swipe upwards with your finger from the bottom edge of the screen. If you have a keyboard, hit any key.

? Next, you'll see a mosaic of Live Tiles, each representing an application. Programs specifically written for Windows 8 will run in this new environment, which is unofficially nicknamed Metro. Each application fills the screen when you run it. Applications written for older Windows versions will open up in something that looks very much like the old Windows Desktop environment. You can switch back and forth between Metro and the new Desktop, though Microsoft wants people to eventually use only Metro.

? The Desktop screen lacks a Start button, so it's hard to start programs from there. Microsoft's idea is that users should learn to go to the Metro tiles to start programs or access settings, even if many programs, including some Windows utilities, will open up in Desktop. To get back to the tiled Start screen with a mouse or touchpad, move the mouse cursor to the top right corner of the screen, then swipe it down to the "Start" icon that appears. If you have a touch screen, reveal the Start icon by swiping in from the right edge of the screen.

? In the Desktop environment, you can glance at the Taskbar to see which Desktop programs are running. If you're a mouse or touchpad user in Metro and want to see what's running, you have to know this trick: Move the cursor into the top left corner of the screen, then drag it down along the left edge of the screen. If you have a touch screen, swipe in from the left edge, then quickly swipe back in.

? Neither environment will show you programs that are running in the other environment, but if you have a touch screen, swiping in from the left side of the screen lets you jump between open applications. The "Alt-Tab" combination does the same thing with a keyboard, in case you aren't using a touch screen.

? There are two versions of Internet Explorer, one for each environment. A Web page you open in one doesn't appear in the other, so if you're trying to find your way back to a page, it helps to remember which browser you were using.

? When using Metro on a touch screen, you close a program by first swiping your finger down from the top edge of the screen. That shrinks the window. Then you swipe your finger down to the bottom edge of the screen. Don't stray to the right or left edges of the screen, or the app will end up "docked" in a column along that edge. You can perform the same action with a mouse cursor by clicking and dragging from the top edge of the screen, but using the old "Alt-F4" command is easier.

? In the Desktop version of Internet Explorer, you can see at a glance which pages you have open in "tabs." In Metro, each Web page fills the screen, leaving no room for tabs.

To see which other pages are open on a touch-screen computer, you swipe your finger down from the top of the screen to reveal thumbnails of the other windows. Don't sweep too far, or you'll shrink the window instead.

If you're using a mouse in Metro, you right-click anywhere on the screen to reveal the tabs. Of course, this means right-clicking no longer does any of things it can be used for in previous versions of Windows, such as letting you open a link in a new tab.

? When Microsoft introduced Windows 95, some people thought it was amusing and counterintuitive that the procedure for shutting down the computer began with the "Start" button. In Windows 8, that incongruity is gone along with the Start button, but shutting down with a mouse or touchpad isn't obvious either. Move the cursor into the top right corner of the screen. A menu will pop out. Sweep down to the "Settings" button that appears, and click it. Then click "Power," then "Shut down." If you're on a touch screen, start by swiping in from the right edge of the screen, then tap "Settings."

Kenya slow to cooperate on war crimes, court says

NAIROBI (Reuters) - The International Criminal Court's (ICC) chief prosecutor on Thursday said Kenya's government had not cooperated fully in providing evidence for the trial of four prominent Kenyans accused of fuelling post-election violence in 2007.

The group includes leading presidential hopefuls and former finance minister Uhuru Kenyatta and former higher education minister William Ruto. They face trial in about six months, charged with masterminding the bloodshed that killed more than 1,200 people. All have said they are innocent.

Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda told a news conference in Nairobi that Kenyan officials had promised her the information she required to build her case, but warned that she may be forced to file an application before judges at The Hague-based court if Kenya continued dragging its feet over the issue.

"It could be better," she said when asked about the cooperation with the Kenya government. "I came personally to urge the government to cooperate more with the ICC."

She said the ICC required the evidence by January 9, when the prosecutors must disclose their evidence to the defence.

Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga had promised speedier cooperation, Bensouda said.

President Mwai Kibaki, in his last term at the helm of east Africa's biggest economy, has publicly promised to cooperate with the ICC, but has been behind attempts to block the trials and to have the cases transferred to Nairobi.

Kibaki is wary of the ICC trials where evidence may emerge that could taint members of his government, political analysts say.

The ICC said Ruto would stand trial with radio presenter Joshua Arap Sang from April 10, while Kenyatta would appear with the head of the civil service, Francis Muthaura on April 11.

Bensouda said the ICC required information from key witnesses, including government administrators and senior police commanders in the areas where violence erupted.

So far these officials have refused to give any witness accounts, and sought court orders to shield them from doing so.

Bensouda, on a five-day tour of Kenya, said she hoped to have received the information by January 9 to prepare her case.

Earlier, Bensouda met hundreds of people displaced by deadly fighting, still living in a clutch of flimsy tents in the Rift Valley, a flashpoint of the violence, and promised them justice.

MS ABDB FOOTBALL TEAM: Majra edge BSRC in 7-goal thriller

MAJRA FC defeated Brunei Shell Recreation Club (BSRC) 4-3 in the third-round FA Cup match at the Berakas Sports Complex last night.

In the early moments of the first half, Majra FC played long balls and used both their left and right flanks to get crosses and through balls into BSRC's penalty box.

Despite the early onslaught BSRC held out against Majra FC's attacks, and scored the first goal in the 22nd minute against the run of play from a counter attack.

A BSRC defender intercepted the ball before releasing a long pass into Majra FC's territory that found BSRC's Syazwa Mohd. He quickly sprinted with the ball into Majra FC's penalty box and fired the ball home.

The game looked done and dusted for BSRC when they were awarded a penalty in the 36th minute following a hard slide tackle by a Majra FC defender in the box.

BSRC's Junaidi Brahim took the penalty and scored, making it 2-0.

However, Majra FC made a stunning comeback, starting in the 42nd minute when a through pass from the left found a waiting Mohd Azri Zahari who quickly shot the ball with his left foot, pulling a goal back to make the scores 2-1.

In the second half, BSRC's counter attacks paid off again. The team from KB restored their two goal lead when the ball was passed to their striker Syazwi Mohd.

He beat his man inside the Majra penalty box from the left side and scored his second goal of the game in the 60th minute.

It was not over for Majra FC though, when a cornerkick from the right was awarded to them and striker Faizal Mohd headed the ball into goal in the 71st minute, making it 3-2.

Faizal equalised just two minutes after his first goal when he received a long ball in the middle of BSRC's penalty box and the player turning well and rifling the ball into the net.

With Majra FC's relentless attack, Mohd Azri Zahari scored the winning goal in the 87th minute with another long ball taking apart the BSRC defence.

Mohd Azri had to evade two defenders before firing the winner from the left side of goal capping a remarkable night for his team.

Majra FC Assistant Manager Hj Mahaddi Hj Madziin told The Brunei Times that the change of formation after half time helped them win the game.

"We started in the first half with with the formation of 4-4-2 but since we were trailing behind, we changed our formation to 4-3-3," said Hj Mahaddi.

"First half we had many chances but we had made mistakes, but our players still had the fighting spirit to win the game," he said.

Hj Mahaddi explained that the tactical change gave the team a much better chance for attack.

Majra's assistant manager also praised the opposition saying it was a great game and that BSRC were quite formidable opponents to play against.

Majra FC's biggest achievement to date was winning the DST Group Brunei League Cup final in 2011.

This Saturday's match will witness Sporting FT play against MS ABDB at the Balapan Track and Field at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas.?
